InSpeck Introduces 3D Full Body Digitizer

InSpeck, Inc. has announced the launch of its new 3D Full Body digitizer. This scalable system can rapidly capture a full body’s 3D data destined for many applications such as videogame animation and movie special effects.

With applications where measurements of human bodies, virtual characters and avatars can be used in animation and games, ergonomic design and medical research, this non-contact optical 3D digitizer can easily acquire high-resolution 3D models of the human body. The 3D Full Body can acquire texture and 3D coordinates of over half a million points in about one second. It uses the same camera to capture a subject's 3D coordinates and color texture. It also uses a halogen white-light source instead of a laser to provide lighting for color image capturing that is harmless to the human body.
