Iconicast's HueTunes Entertainment App Debuts at DEMO Fall 2013Captivating Mobile App Provides the Ultimate Combination of Music and Art for iPhone and iPad (October 15, 2013)
SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/16/13 -- Iconicast, the leader in developing mobile apps that stimulate the human mind to express itself, today unveiled HueTunes at DEMO Fall 2013. HueTunes is a captivating entertainment app that enables anyone to create visual art by composing music. Designed with an easy-to-use interface, this highly addictive and mesmerizing app provides the ultimate combination of music and art for children, trained musicians, hobbyists or anyone who loves both music and visual art. It is the first ever app that allows you to make music through the act of painting.
"HueTunes makes it easy to liberate the musician and artist in all of us," says Dr. Michael Doyle, Co-Founder of Iconicast and HueTunes creator. "All you need to be creative is to have fun! HueTunes provides the interface that satisfies the novice or expert, it's truly that flexible and engaging. Your creations are addictive to paint and captivating to watch and hear -- and expressive enough to let your talent shine."
Once the HueTunes app is launched, users can choose from up to 127 instruments to create musical works of art using easy-to-use dashboard of colors, tempos, instruments and shapes. By painting on the screen with the swipe of a finger, and then choosing an associated instrument, the artwork "plays" the tune with animated trackers. Users can choose how fast or vibrant music can be to meet their preferences. Once the completed masterpiece is created, it can be saved to view again or emailed for others to enjoy.
The free HueTunes app comes with five instruments and the ability to add up to 122 instruments to your composer workspace with in-app purchases of $0.99 per instrument. All instruments are free for playback, so your friends can enjoy your creations by simply downloading the free HueTunes app. But, in honor of the app's launch this week at DEMO Fall 2013, Iconicast is offering for a limited time a HueTunes secret unlock code which gives $122 worth of instruments for free. Just tap on the heart of the Iconicast logo on the app's help screen and enter 123htu to activate the entire orchestra of instruments.
"You can custom design catchy tunes, complex orchestrations, or free-floating soundscapes," says Iconicast Co-Founder Pat Byrnes. "Imagine you are a musician with a paintbrush, an artist with a baton." Byrnes will provide a live, four minute demonstration of HueTunes on the DEMO Fall 2013 stage at 9:10am on October 17, 2013 and will host live demonstrations beginning today at station D3 at the DEMO Fall 2013 pavilion.
"DEMO Fall 2013 is all about the discovery of stellar ideas, people and technologies," says Erick Schonfeld, Executive Producer of DEMO. "HueTunes represents a new form of entertainment that combines music and drawing in a novel and compelling way. DEMO is the ideal platform for launching this amazing new entertainment app to a worldwide audience."
