Circus freaks and mutant dog-boys are the stars of two new IDs for action sports lifestyle network, FUEL TV. Featuring broad physical comedy, the spots exhibit satirical commentary on the pain, sadness and public humiliation that is action sports. In "Johnny Bicycle Head," we begin outside the "Big Top" as viewers are drawn in by posters of the day's attractions. As the tent curtain is pulled back, Johnny atop the halfpipe, pulls a 360, and finishes off with a bow, sadly, not to rave reviews, but is rather pelted with vegetables. "Dogboy" chases a pussy cat down an urban city street on his skateboard. The cat runs for its life, its only savior - a street light on the corner, which stops Dogboy dead in his tracks. As he falls from his board onto the street, the cat returns to kick him in his family jewels. Dogboy and his aggression dissolve in a puddle of pain.

This past fall, INTERspectacular created a series of short films for VW.com or rather "feature" films for Arnold Worldwide. Represented by Curious Pictures, INTERspectacular completed 8 short films in all, each depicting a new and exciting, "not so standard" feature of the 2006 Volkswagen Passat. Also last fall, INTERspectacular wrote and directed a series of celebrity opens for the third season of PBS' "Art: 21 -- Art in the Twenty-First Century." Each 45-second open featured a unique theme, and highlighted a different celebrity, including David Alan Grier, Isabella Rosellini, Sam Waterston and Grant Hill. Four of INTERspectacular's animated pieces for Comedy Central ("Robogirl," "Alphonse and Orville," "Monster Munchies," and "Stumpy") were showcased at the prestigious Ottawa Animation Festival. Other projects completed last fall at INTERspectacular included a promotional campaign for Bill Maher 's comedy special for HBO, and a promotional spot for "Most Haunted" on The Travel Channel. They also designed an environmental promotional piece for Banco Popular via Bravo/New York for the NASDAQ-branded super sign on the side of a skycraper in New York City's Times Square; and also revised Target spots via Mother for the Super Sign in Times Square on New Year's Eve '06. INTERspectacular is currently in the midst of a third collaboration in three years with Comedy Central on the launch of their Mobile Services.

Co-Founders/Creative Directors Luis Blanco and Michael Uman launched New York-based concept and design boutique INTERspectacular in Fall of 2003 with the awarding of Comedy Central's original re-design project. In 2004/05, Comedy Central called on INTERspectacular once again to develop and grow the new look. Under Blanco and Uman's guidance, along with Executive Producer Greg Babiuk, completing a successful second year in business meant that INTERspectacular provided creative concepting, writing, directing, motion graphics, print design, music and character development for a diverse group of clients in the television network, cable net and advertising arenas. In fact, the company was recently chosen to be profiled by "Crain's New York Business" as an example of a 21st century company formed with a unique business model.
