Human Software Releases PhotoWeave

Plugin creates fabric effects in Photoshop By Dave Nagel
Human Software has released a new Macintosh plugin for Adobe Photoshop and compatible applications. PhotoWeave 1.0 is a filter that allows users to create fabric effects on images. It's being offered at an introductory price of $129.

PhotoWeave uses stripe effects to create a variety of fabric patterns on images, including plaids. It includes "wafting" and "wefting" with up to 16 different yarn colors or the option of using a color ramp. The pattern can be repeated independently on the x and y axes, and the pattern grid is customizable. User can select yarn thickness and also play with the weave itself, including copying and extending, working with a selection, etc.

The plugin supports all of Photoshop's color selection tools, including Pantone. It comes with 130 preset fabric simulations and 120 preset weaves. Or users can create their own patterns up to 72 x 72 pixels.

PhotoWeave is available now for the Macintosh for an introductory price of $129. After the introductory period, it will sell for $149. A Windows version will be available this quarter. For more information, visit
