Hitachi Offers Multimedia LCD Display

Hitachi has started shipping what it calls a multimedia LCD display that combines computing and video functionality into one display. The new CML155V LCD, which is the first in Hitachi's new Designer Decor series featuring a two-tone metallic silver and blue finish, provides both analog and DVI-D inputs, as well as S-video and composite inputs for multimedia applications.

The CML155V is a 15-inch LCD monitor enables active switching between two different inputs through the monitor's onscreen menu. The inputs are compatible with Macintosh and Windows systems.

The CML155V has a 0.297 mm pixel pitch, a 300-nit brightness and a 500:1 contrast ratio, as well as a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 for both analog and digital inputs. The viewing area is a full 15 inches. It has automatic image adjustment and manual controls, including brightness, contrast, H/V position, color temperature and more.

The CML155V weighs 12 pounds and measures 8.1 inches deep, including the base. Speakers and a microphone are built into the front bezel.
