Henninger Media Services Celebrates 21 YearsStar-quality talent and tenured team are cause for celebration (August 27, 2004)
If turning 21 is a ‘coming of age,’ then Henninger Media Services (HMS), the mid-Atlantic’s premiere production and post-production facility, is ahead of the curve. Celebrating twenty-one years as a creative innovator in the field of video and multi-media production, Henninger has not only grown to dominate the regional market of production from broadcast to broadband, it has dictated industry trends in multi-media production.
At a recent 21st Anniversary Celebration – a casino themed affair – Henninger headquarters was teaming with wall-to-wall celebrants. Rob Henninger, founder and chief executive officer may have peppered the event with roulette wheels and blackjack tables, but he’s no gambler when it comes to business. He has steadily grown Henninger’s services to reflect today’s market and client base.
Thanking his clients and colleagues, Rob Henninger toasted with champagne and a sparkler-studded cake.
“We are here this evening because of you – our customers – from broadcast and private corporations to government and non-profit, you have enabled us to grow and you continue to challenge us,” said Henninger.
Henninger also recognized his staff, some of whom have been with the company for two decades.
“Our unparalleled talent sets HMS apart from our competition,” he said. “Here’s to the next twenty-one years.”
Since the company’s infancy, Rob Henninger has kept the core values of the company in the forefront of its mission. Quality, service, innovation and teamwork are the values that have remained consistent throughout Henninger’s two decades of service to the industry.
Before it was Henninger Media Services, the company went through various evolutions. Henninger Video, as it was known from 1985 through 1994, is when it first appeared on the radar. By 1990 Henninger was well established and quickly became the local leader in video postproduction. From digital editing, non-linear digital audio finishing, disk-based compositing systems and seamless digital integration of graphics with editing environments – Henninger was setting the stage for the technology revolution in production facilities by becoming a one stop shop.
Over the years, Henninger has attracted prestigious clients including ABC, Circuit City, Discovery Channel, Guggenheim Productions, Kennedy Center Honors, National Geographic Explorer, National Park Service, and Smithsonian Institution all of whom sought the expertise of this burgeoning production workhorse.
Revenue growth for Henninger over the last year has increased by 20 percent. With the introduction of their high-def finishing suite for one-stop solutions, HMS prepares to continue this smart growth trend over the next few years.
“Our strength,” said Rob Henninger, “is our ability to identify trends in the market and not only to keep pace with client needs, but to anticipate them long before the client ever does.”
In 2003, Rob Henninger received the Distinguished Achievement Award from ITVA-DC, a professional group of the area’s most committed and seasoned media professionals in the region.
From broadcast production and special effects to audio and graphic design to interactive media for government, the private sector, television and non-profit, Henninger Media Services is the first, and last, stop in integrated media solutions.
