HelloLife Applauds USDA My Plate(June 08, 2011)

HelloLife is adding its voice to those in favor of the USDAs new dietary guideline structure, My Plate.
Today the company applauded USDAs new dietary guideline icon, My Plate, rolled out on June 2, 2011. The new graphic is in the shape of a dinner plate and is the replacement for the previous dietary icon, My Food Pyramid. The new representation divides a plate into fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy. The icon is less complex than the previous versions of the food guidelines and will help to simplify healthy meal planning.
