Healthagen Chosen as One of Ten Plenary Presenters at The Health Data Initiative Forum in Washington, DC(June 09, 2011)
Lakewood, CO (PRWEB) June 09, 2011
Healthagen® will announce a newly integrated government dataset of the nations mental health facilities on its iTriage® mobile healthcare platform this morning in the nations capitol. Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO of Healthagen, will demonstrate this data integration in the morning plenary session at The Health Data Initiative Forum held at the Natcher Conference Center.
The Forum, which is hosted jointly by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and builds upon last years success of The Community Health Data Initiative Forum: Harnessing the Power of Information to Improve Health, will accelerate momentum for the public use of data and innovation to improve health. The Forum includes a number of fast-paced demonstrations of a range of tools and applications developed using health data, as well as a series of discussion sessions and a data and apps exposition. The Forum can be viewed live online at http://www.hhs.gov/live starting at 9:00 am EST. The hashtag to follow on Twitter is #healthapps.
In this mornings presentation, Dr. Hudson will help government and industry leaders understand how this new health data has been integrated into the iTriage mobile healthcare platform to help expand, improve and empower Americans to make informed healthcare decisions about mental health service providers.
From the initial 2009 launch of iTriage on the iPhone® and later for Android devices, Healthagen has welcomed opportunities to work with government leaders to meet the growing mobile healthcare demands of Americans. Today, the company is a leader in healthcare consumer engagement and blazes a new trail with its proprietary Symptom-to-Provider pathway technology.
Solid data remains key to driving effective and efficient consumer healthcare action, Hudson said. As one of the first technology companies to utilize the massive government data releases, we applaud the efforts of the current administration for its public-private effort to stimulate innovation that will help improve the health of Americans.
In addition to serving all Americans on any mobile or Web browser at http://www.iTriageHealth.com, iTriage is also available to the growing number of users adopting new, cutting-edge mobile device technology such as iPhone, iPod touch®, iPad®, and Android smart phones and tablets.
