Hawaii Guide Me Travel App Now on Android, Too

  (June 22, 2011)

Kahului, HI (PRWEB) June 22, 2011

The makers of smash hit Hawaii iPhone travel app Hawaii Guide Me have developed a version for the Android platform.

Following a lengthy beta testing period, the Hawaii Guide Me development team determined that the app was at last ready for an official version 1.0. Over 2000 people unwittingly participated in the beta test of the Android version, which was quietly uploaded to the Android Market in April.

Hawaii Guide Me is by far the most downloaded travel app for the Hawaiian islands. Using GPS and an exhaustive array of data about Hawaii, it provides the user with a handy in-pocket guide to any experience the user desires, from anywhere on the islands. Users can also write reviews, rate destinations and share experiences with each other.

The Android version provides the same features and frequently updated information as the iPhone version.

The iPhone version of Hawaii Guide Me has already been downloaded by 40,000 people, and this grows by thousands each month, said Chuck Bergson, CEO of Pacific Radio Group, the parent company behind Hawaii Guide Me. Our commitment to investing in an Android version of the app reflects the wishes of our users, clients, and the market, who have embraced the Android platform.

At the current rate of growth, Hawaii Guide Me will be used by at least 60,000 people by the end of 2011. However, with the Android version now released, Hawaii Guide Mes user-base is likely to multiply even more sharply.

Like the iPhone version, the Android version will be free to download from the Android Market.
It is currently being featured in Hana Hou Magazine (Hawaiian Airlines in-flight magazine) and the Aloha Visitor Guides for the islands of Maui, Kauai and Big Island. Hawaii Guide Me also receives regular coverage on 14 radio stations across Maui and Big Island.

Businesses who would like to apply for an enhanced listing on the app should contact Pacific Radio Group at (808) 877-5566.
