Hatching Regions

By Ted Elrick

For all those who have had trouble hatching, or finding the area of a region
bounded by many complex polylines, this command will help out considerably.
The problems with the boundary command can be frustrating to say the least,
and sometimes, polylines simply will not join, at least in my experience.
Now, all you have to do is make sure your region is bounded by any number of
polylines whose endpoints connect exactly with one another. Use the command
to select all the polylines, and it will make a new closed polyline on top
of the existing ones. The new polyline can now be used to hatch the region,
or find the area. The uses of this command will not be readily apparent,
but can turn out to be very beneficial.
