Harris Corporation Will Highlight Complete Family Of Broadcast Transport Products At NAB2008Company Offers Multiplatform Delivery Solutions For Any Transport Application (February 21, 2008)

The CTT6800+, a module designed for the 6800+ platform, is a compressed transport transceiver, utilizing mezzanine-level JPEG2000 compression to transport baseband media signals (including HD-SDI, AES audio, LTC and Serial data) over an ASI link carrying MPEG-2 transport stream. The CTT6800+ allows the user to efficiently utilize available bandwidth for transmitting broadcast-quality video, audio and data while maintaining post-production quality levels. When coupled with the IPA6800+ module, the CTT6800+ allows efficient transport of HD signals over IP networks.
Also designed for the 6800+ frame, the OP+HMT fiber optic transport module joins a growing lineup of Harris® OPTO+ modular products that cover a variety of signal types, including video, audio, Ethernet, RF, signal data and intercom. The OP+HMT module provides 8-SDI or 4-HD-SDI channel multiplexing and de-multiplexing utilizing a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) approach, which shares a single optical link among multiple electrical signals and thereby lowers transport costs. Fiber-optic outputs are available in 1310nm FP and 16 CWDM wavelengths. Fiber optic receivers are available in either a PIN or an APD high-sensitivity version. In a combination TDM and CWDM system, up to 128 SDI signals can be transported on one single-mode fiber optic cable, providing superior transport efficiencies for uncompressed signals.
