Harris Digital Signage solutions feature an extended range of InfoCaster products and services that can be implemented and scaled to provide advanced creation, management, scheduling, distribution, tracking and reporting capabilities throughout the entire digital signage delivery chain. At NAB2008, Harris will demonstrate support for creative and production activities, ad scheduling and placement, traffic and billing with sophisticated report generation, and the distribution and presentation of high-definition graphics and live video at venues. Harris Digital Signage solutions also will be used to schedule content to multiple zones in the Harris exhibit area, to convey how ads and programming can be targeted by locale.
"For broadcasters, digital signage is a natural business progression, as they already have the basic equipment, relationships with advertisers and ad agencies, and content in place," said Tim Thorsteinson, president of Harris Broadcast Communications. "Harris has an intimate knowledge of broadcast workflows, and we design Harris Digital Signage solutions to be a natural fit for existing infrastructures. This helps broadcasters launch or grow a digital signage offering quickly and easily, without having to start from scratch."
Harris Broadcast Communications offers capabilities that provide interoperable workflow solutions that span the entire content delivery chain and support multiple customer services, including digital signage. The Harris ONE approach brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that are ideal for emerging media business models and for customers upgrading media operations to digital and high-definition services.
