Harman Releases Creature SpeakersThree-piece system uses Odyssey transducer technology
The new Creature system is designed to evoke a sci-fi feel and offers a small footprint with soft-touch controls. The satellite pieces, seen below, glow from below.
In terms of performance, the subwoofer is a 24-watt unit at 10% (THD+N) and has a crossover frequency of 180 Hz. The two satellites are 8 watts each at 10% (THD+N). The system has an input impedance of >5K, signal to noise of >80 dB and a frequency response of 50-20 kHz. The subwoofer uses one 4-inch Magnum transducer, and the satellites each use an Odyssey Plus transducer. The subwoofer measures 9" x 9" x 9", and each satellite measures 3" x 3" x 3".
The JBL Creature system costs $129 and is available now. For more information, visit http://www.harman-multimedia.com.
