Hammer Films Purchases Nothing Real's Tremor HD for High-End Compositing

(September 14, 2001)
At the IBC 2001 Convention, Nothing Real, announced the sale of a Tremor HD compositing system to Hammer Films, a Los Angeles-based trailer production company. Tremor is modeled as a front room, client-based solution, engineered to handle the most demanding needs of film, HDTV, commercial video and broadcast production professionals. The sale marks the first installation of the high-end compositing system in the Los Angeles area.

Tremor is a high performance non-linear compositing system
featuring a new, simplified and streamlined interface based on mature and production-proven technology. It is 100% compatible with Nothing Real's flagship product Shake and its associated rendering engine, so that projects can easily migrate from front-room to back-room to render farms, thus allowing facilities to manage talent and resources more effectively. Tremor is a turnkey solution that incorporates best-of-breed technology running on Hewlett-Packard computers, DVS acquisition cards and Ciprico storage.
Hammer Films is best known for providing creative motion picture advertising and editorial services to theatrical, television and home entertainment marketing and distribution companies for projects that require intensive graphic and compositing treatments. Hammer Films will use the Tremor HD suite to augment the needs of its burgeoning graphics design and motion picture trailer-finishing department and will also use it to create film resolution digital trailers, creative high-end graphics and high-def mastering to 24p.
