HP Delivers Enhanced Multi-Format PrinterBudget-friendly solution for A/E/C and CAD specialists (September 01, 2004)
HP today announced the HP Designjet 110plus series printers featuring new roll feed capability for technical design professionals who need both standard office and oversize printing. Combining flexibility with fast, professional results in a highly affordable solution, the HP Designjet 110plus supports a wide range of media sizes and is an ideal introduction to large-format printing for architecture/ engineering/ construction (A/E/C) and other CAD and mapping professionals.
Now small offices or remote locations can rely on one versatile printer for all their printing needs and save time and money by producing large-format prints in-house. Having large-format capability not only saves money, but also allows for shorter timelines and last minute changes. ?Outsourcing prints adds extra time to a project, which doesnt always fit with tight deadlines, says Manel Martinez, Worldwide Large Format Current Business manager. ?It is a great advantage to cut the extra step and be in control of the printing process, assuring timeliness, accuracy and a high level quality in the final result.
As with the previous HP Designjet 100 series printers, GIS and CAD professionals can also expect accurate, crisp lines and text as well as high quality images. Black pigmented HP ink produces dense, dark lines for sharp text and CAD drawings. The four-color HP Designjet 110plus reliably creates professional output from specially formulated HP inks, 1200 dpi and the HP Color Layering Technology that provides detailed image quality, a wide color gamut and smooth color transitions. The addition of the roll feed capability provides customers additional convenience with less printer interaction. Drawings as large as 24 inches wide can be printed, cut and stacked automatically, with no intervention necessary, easily done during lunch or overnight.
*Four independent paper paths handle a wide variety of standard and specialty media for oversize printing via the 24-inch wide manual sheet feed slot, standard tray, rear bypass or automatic roll feed.
*C-size media tray holds up to 150 sheets (plain paper) of common and custom media sizes from 3 x 5.6 inches to 18 x 24 inches
*Precise ink placement ensures crisp, sharp lines and text for clean reproduction
*AutoCAD drivers enable proper printing of drawings and schematics
*Modular ink supplies can be individually replaced
*Supports a full range of media types, including CAD specialty media
*Print up to 11 pages per minute for letter size and up to 90 seconds per page for D size in fast mode
