In Issue 6, out this November, Kawasaki reveals the pivotal moment that made him leave a promising future in law to dabble with computers. He describes how he fell in love with the Macintosh back in 1983 and says that team sports can reveal the true nature of a person.
Kawasaki was one of the chief Apple employees responsible for marketing the Macintosh in 1984, and is referred to as one of the prime Apple evangelists. After leaving Apple in 1987, Kawasaki became founder/CEO of ACIUS. He also started the company, Fog City Software. An advocate of hard work, Kawasaki is the co-founder of Alltop.com, an online magazine rack of popular topics on the web. He was a founding partner at Garage Technology Ventures, a venture capital firm which specialises in high-technology start-up firms located in Silicon Valley, California, as well as co-founder of Nononina, the company that created the Truemors and Alltop websites.
Kawasaki is the author of 10 books, including Enchantment, Reality Check, The Art of the Start, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy and Selling the Dream. His blog, How to Change the World, was ranked in the top 2,000 most-popular globally in September 2009.
Elevate, the bi-annual B2B Grant Thornton publication that targets existing and potential entrepreneur clients, is written by leading business journalists and features columns from Grant Thornton specialists.
Despite being only several issues old, Elevate has been hugely popular with Grant Thornton clients.
