GroupGifting.com Adds Five eGift Cards to MyGiftWand(June 07, 2012)
Melville, NY (PRWEB) June 07, 2012
Today, GroupGifting.com announced the addition of 5 new eGift Card brands to the 40 major brands available at the MyGiftWand social gifting site, including Sephora, SpaFinder, ProAm Golf, Steak 'n Shake and Lands' End.
We continue to expand our offerings in order to make sure we are providing the best choices for users of any age, anywhere in the country, said Tyler Roye, CEO of GroupGifting.com. We are very excited to add these great brands to our offering.
The MyGiftWand site allows Facebook users to send a variety of paid or free eGift cards in a very simple 4-click process. What makes the service so interesting is the unique delivery method which posts the eGift Card to the recipients Facebook wall and allows their Facebook friends to join in by making a contribution of their own, turning it into a group gift.
Batches of free cards the company calls DailyGifts are released on a daily basis. Members of the system can send the free card, or can opt to add value to the card before sending.
The company is working with their partners to not only sell their eGift cards but also show them how they can use their cards as a customer acquisition tool within social media. MyGiftWand can help retailers leverage the power of social media to acquire target customers via incentives provided for specific demographics such as age, gender or location, said Roye. Retailers are struggling to find ways to unlock the potential of social commerce and our system provides an innovative way for them to accomplish their objectives, added Roye.
Retailers are only charged a success fee for the delivery of the target customer when they show up in the store and use the card, making the program truly performance-based, minimizing the upfront risk. The company also makes a commission on the cards it sells.
Mobile apps for Android and iPhone are being developed to enable users to send, contribute to, receive and redeem cards on the go. The apps will also act as a digital wallet to store the eGift Cards. We are especially excited about this, since the mobile apps will allow an even more frictionless experience for our customers, said Roye. The digital wallet will make a simple process even easier.
