Group Logic Updates ExtremeZ-IPLatest release offers improved file transfer speeds
ExtremeZ-IP is a print- and file-sharing utility designed to provide "faster, easier, more stable and more compatible connections" between Macintosh and Windows using AppleShareIP, according to the company. It includes two components--File Server and IP Print Server. The print component is designed to allow Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X clients to spool PostScript jobs using TCP/IP to printers managed by Windows systems. Group Logic says the new version offers improved file transfer speeds, especially with Mac OS X clients. It also includes better Unicode support and other bug fixes.
ExtremeZ-IP 3.1 is available now as a free update for customers using version 3.0 or 3.1 or those still on maintenance contracts from earlier releases. Pricing for the full version (File Server and IP Print Server) ranges from $1,113 for a 10-workstation license to $6,620 for an unlimited client/server license. Other configurations are also available. For more information, visit http://www.grouplogic.com/.
