Gregory S. Smith Joins AccomAssumes role as Broadcast Products Marketing Manager (December 15, 2004)
Accom today announced that Gregory S. Smith has joined the company as the Broadcast Products Marketing Manager focusing on the Abekas 6000 Video Production Server. In this capacity, Greg will manage Accom's worldwide marketing efforts of its broadcast products including product development, branding, business development, research and product testing.
"Greg is a veteran in the broadcast industry working for various premier equipment manufacturers and brings a wealth of experience to Accom," commented Junaid Sheikh, Chairman and CEO of Accom, Inc. "Greg's strong history in product management and business development within the industry, will help further define Accom's position as a leading manufacturer in broadcast television and professional video."
Greg Smith was involved in Market Development for Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI) where he focused on the joint development of integrated systems for media storage, management and distribution. As Product Manager for Louth Automation/Harris Corporation, Greg was responsible for leading the development of DTV automation products. At Sony Electronics, Greg held the position of Product Manager for their non-linear news editing and live reply products. He was responsible for product development, deployment and service planning for highly integrated news, editing and server products.
