GoLive Gets Accessibility Software

Adobe today announced an agreement with SSB Technologies to distribute SSB's InSightLE Web accessibility compliance tool free to all Adobe GoLive users. For government users, the software automatically identifies accessibility violations in Web pages created in GoLive to ensure compliance with standards mandated by the federal government's Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Section 508 requires all federal government agency Web sites, intranets and Web-enabled applications to be accessible to people with disabilities. According to Adobe, SSB's software saves about 90 percent of the time it would take to search for violations.
