Getty Images to Offer Solution for Managing Digital Assets (September 25, 2001)
Getty Images, Inc. announced it is partnering with Artesia Technologies in the development of Getty Images Media Management Services. Getty Images Media Management Services will combine Artesia's award-winning TEAMS solution with Getty Images expertise in the classification, storage, retrieval, and delivery of visual content to help customers more efficiently organize, manage, and maximize the value of their digital assets, including photos, illustrations, fonts, video, audio, electronic files generated using Adobe, Quark, and Macromedia software, and other media assets.

Home to 70 million images and 30,000 hours of film, Getty Images is uniquely qualified to expand its offering to its customers to include digital asset management. The company has a fully searchable online collection of over two million images and 80,000 video clips. Its visual content is searched over 12 million times a month, with over 150 gigabytes of content downloaded daily by customers around the world. With license administration and rights clearance an instrumental part of any digital asset management solution, Getty Images Media Management Services will leverage the company's expertise gained in tracking the contracts and royalties of over 5,000 of its content providers.
