Gentner Begins Shipping XAP TH2 Telephone Interface ProductRoutes audio from a single phone line into company's audio conferencing system (November 07, 2001)
The XAP TH2 replaces the XAP TH1as the telephone interface device that routes audio from a single telephone line into Gentner's XAP 800 audio conferencing system. Enhancements to the XAP TH2 include compatibility with Gentner's new G-Ware software for simple setup and operation, and an expansion bus port that enables control over the entire XAP system from a single location. In addition, the XAP TH2 has an audible ring indicator, adjustable dial tone and touch-tone dialing levels, and new automatic level control that compensates for loud- or soft-spoken participants.
The XAP TH2 uses Gentner's digital signal processing technology to deliver clear, precise audio conferencing. It also provides phone-add capabilities for video conferencing, enabling audio-only participation in a video conference using a telephone. Up to 16 callers can be added to a conference by linking 16 XAP TH2s. Typical applications for the XAP TH2 include conference rooms, distance learning facilities, training rooms, boardrooms, hotels, courtrooms, houses of worship, and telemedicine facilities.
Additional information on the XAP TH2 is available at Gentner's Web site, www.gentner.com or by calling (800) 945-7730.
