Fujifilm Adds Mac OS X Support for FinePix S2 Pro

High-end digital camera also gets price drop to $2,295 By Dave Nagel
Fujifilm today announced a software update for its FinePix S2 Pro digital camera, offering support for Mac OS X. The S2 Pro has also been reduced in price to $2,295. The software update is available now.

The FinePix S2 Pro is a high-end SLR-style digital camera offering 6.17 million sensor array for producing 12.1 million recorded pixels. It also offers interchangeable lenses, FireWire and USB interfaces, dual card slots (SmartMedia and IBM Microdrive) and an ISO range of 100 to 1,600. The new software update offers support for Mac OS X (for the first time), as well as other enhancements. These include new software utilities, such as EXIF Extractor, RAW File Converter LE, RAW File Converter EX 2.0 and Camera Shooting Software 2.0.

The S2 Pro software update will be bundled with the S2 Pro beginning this month. Current users can download the update free of charge from Fujifilm's Web site. For more information or to download the software, visit or (download site).
