Fuji Releases New CamerasF601 uses 3 megapixel CCD
The FinePix F601 Zoom, the higher-end model, is targeted toward consumer and business users. It's a pocket-sized camera with a 3x optical (4.4x digital) zoom and a 3.1 million pixel CCD that can record 6.03 million pixels. It can capture AVI digital video with sound at VGA (640 x 480) and QVGA (320 x 240) resolutions at 15 frames per second. It also can record up to 33 minutes of audio on a 16 MB SmartMedia card and up to nine hours using a 128 MB card. The FinePix F601 Zoom's shutter speeds range from 3 seconds to 1/2,000 of a second with adjustable ISO sensitivity of 160/200/400, including a high-sensitivity one-megapixel (1280 x 960) mode at ISO 800/1600 that features Fujifilm's noise reduction technology. The camera offers continuous shooting at the 1 megapixel (maximum 1.8 frames/sec up to 40 images at 1,280 x 960) and six megapixel (maximum five frames/sec up to four images) modes.
The FinePix 30i is a pocket-sized digital camera that features MP3 playback and uses a a 2.0 million effective pixel CCD (2.1 million total pixels). Like the F601, the 30i also supports voice notes up to 30 seconds for each photo. It includes a remote control and can also record up to 33 minutes of audio on the included 16 MB SmartMedia card. And it can take up to 20-second bursts of AVI video with sound.
