Formac Intros Oxygen LCD Line20.1-inch display on preorder for $999
The Oxygen flat-panel line includes the same TFT technology and design as Formac's Platinum models. Both lines feature Formac's ColorProof VA technology for enhancing brightness, viewing angle, contrast ratio and pixel response. Included in the lineup is a 20.1-inch display (the Gallery 2010), which offers a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200, a 600:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness, a 170-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle, a 0.255 mm dot pitch and a 10 ms to 25 ms pixel response.
The 17.4-inch model (called the Gallery 1740) includes a 1,280 x 1,024 resolution, a 400:1 contrast ratio, a brightness of 220 nits, a 0.27 mm dot pitch, a 160-degree viewing angle (horizontal and vertical) and a pixel response of 10 ms to 25 ms.
For a limited time (through April 15), Formac is offering a discount on preorders of the new displays. The 20.1-inch Gallery 2010 is selling for $999, and the 17.4-inch Gallery 1740 is selling for $499. They will normally sell for $1,399 and $699, respectively.
