Focus Enhancements Intros Scan ConvertersNew NTSC/PAL models to debut at NAB
The Pro AV 1280 is available in two versions--a 19-inch rackmount and a desktop configuration. Both models offer Focus Enhancements' 2D Auto Flicker Filter technology that reads the video pixels horizontally and vertically and adaptively sharpens the video image for fine font point content. Users can set the flicker filter to toggle through seven application specific settings. Control over all adjustments can be made from keypad controls, the optional IR remote control or the RS232/422 interface.
The Pro AV 1280 models have broadcast compatible NTSC or PAL outputs and Genlock input to accept a black burst signal. It also provides separate adjustable delays and subcarrier phase. Both models can convert inputs from any computer to broadcast-quality composite, Y/C and component video signals, according to the company.
The Pro AV 1280 will be available in April for $1,395 for the desktop model and $1,695 for the rackmount model. Each has a three-year limited warranty and ships with various BNC, HD, and S-VHS cables and adapters. An optional remote control for the Pro AV 1280 can be purchased from Focus for $69.
