Flashforward2006 Seattle Opens Doors to Record NumbersCreative professionals from all over the world lined up for the first day (February 28, 2006)
Flashforward2006 Seattle opened its doors today at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center to the largest number of attendees the conference has seen in the past 5 years. This is the first time the Flash technology- focused conference is being held in Seattle and creative professionals from the Pacific Northwest and around the world lined up for the opportunity to learn from leaders shaping the industry.
Flashforward is the largest and longest-running Flash technology-focused conference in the world. In a period of six years, the conference has been attended by over 20,000 professionals from more than 45 countries, in industries ranging from design to animation to motion graphics. Through Thursday, attendees will have access to exhibits and over 60 workshops and sessions, all conducted by acclaimed speakers and innovators.
The conference also boasts the 15th Flashforward Film Festival, where works showcasing the latest Flash techniques in 16 categories, will compete for the Big Rubber Orange Arrow, the "Academy Award" of the industry, which will be presented by Miss Washington USA, Tiffany Doorn. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place Wednesday, March 1st from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
