Fischer Edit Saves the Day for TargetBrett Astor & Brian Slater complete series of See. Spot. Save. spots (September 14, 2004)
Fischer Edits Brett Astor and Brian Slater recently completed a series of new commercials for Targets ?See. Spot. Save Frequency ?04 campaign. Featuring the Target dog, these entertaining, :15 commercials showcase a variety of humorous scenarios where Target products save the day. Airing nationwide, two :15 spots are linked to form a full :30 commercial.

Targets ?Centrum/Dove spot opens with a simple shot revealing a gym room where a muscular man struggles to keep up with his treadmill to the tunes of cheerful music. Unable to keep up with his workout, he flies off the machine and crashes off screen. Without ado, the camera cuts to the Target Dog, sitting on a treadmill and smiling broadly alongside a box of Centrum vitamins. The spot continues at a wedding where an older lady dressed in bright green does the brides make-up and then proudly hands her a mirror to see the outcome. Undoubtedly, the hopeful expression of the bride turns to a frown as she sees the broad streaks of neon green and blue eyeshadow on her face. The Target Dog saves the day once more with towels and Dove soap -- available at Target.
In the ?Charmin/Campbells spot, the story is set in the woods where a panicked camper runs through the forest collecting large leaves obviously needing to answer the ?call of nature. He halts and breathes a sigh of relief as the camera reveals the Target dog smiling alongside a roll of Charmin toilet paper. On the snowy peaks of a mountain, two nearly frozen mountain climbers reach the top of the peak where the Target dog waits for them with a bowl of hot Campbells Chicken Noodle soup.
The ?Suave/Clorox and ?Hershey/Pepsi spots follow the same format with their own unique twists. All of the Target Frequency spots conclude with the ?See. Spot. Save. end tag.
