FireWire Direct Ships Battery-Powered DriveSelf-powered model available up to 40 GB
The Spark EP models run on their own battery power to preserve the battery of the host notebook. It can remain on while being moved, even when it's not connected to a computer, and will automatically recharge itself when it's connected to a computer's FireWire port or an AC adapter.
The case is about 0.75 inches in height and includes two FireWire ports. It uses an Oxford 911-based ATA-5 FireWire interface and comes in capacities of 10 GB, 20 GB, 30 GB and 40 GB.
