Fire Artist Hight, Colorist Beveridge Join Level 3 Post

Fire/Inferno Artist O.T. Hight and Colorist Randy Beveridge, both of whom with lengthy experience in episodic television, have joined Level 3 Post. Hight and Beveridge will handle post work for the ABC series Greys Anatomy as well as other episodics and long-form television projects. Both will also be involved in remastering work.

?O.T. and Randy are very capable artists who have broad experience at the highest level of the television industry, said Level 3 Post Managing Director Darrell Anderson. ?We plan to take full advantage of their talents.

Hight and Beveridge were both formerly on staff at Westwind Media and both were involved in post work for NYPD Blueł The Practice, Blind Justice, Dragnet and Philly, among other shows. Both also have experience in documentaries, MOWs, music videos, commercials and episodic remastering.

In discussing their move to Level 3 Post, Hight and Beveridge described it as an opportunity to broaden the scope of their work. ?Level 3 has a diversified client base, providing me with exposure to more shows, said Hight. ?It was good timing and a good move all around.

?Level 3 is a progressive company that is committed to providing its artists with the latest hardware and software tools, added Beveridge. ?I see that as essential to my ability to continue providing my clients with the best quality and service.

At Level 3, Hight will employ Discreet Flame and Smoke editing and effects software on a latest generation Tezro workstation. Beveridge will perform color work on a C-Reality telecine and Da Vinci 2K color corrector.

Hight received his training in video production while serving in the U.S. Army. He later joined Video Post & Transfer, Dallas. He spent two years on staff as a Domino artist at Digital Magic, Santa Monica, earning credits on more than two dozen feature film titles, among them Armageddon, Lethal Weapon 4, Star Trek: Insurrection and Universal Soldier: The Return. Hight was on staff at Westwind for six years, where, in addition for his work on current series, he performed remastering work for the Stephen J. Cannell series Hunter, 21 Jump Street, The Commish and Silk Stockings, among others.

A veteran of the Marine Corps, Beveridge began his career in post production with Encore Hollywood in 1996. He worked as an assistant editor and assistant colorist before being promoted to dailies colorist in 1998. His credits there included The Practice. In addition to his series work at Westwind, Beveridge performed final color work for long-form television projects including Stealing Sinatra for Showtime and the mini-series Japan: Memoirs of a Secret Empire for PBS.
