FinePix 30i Coming in April

Camera includes MP3 playback By Dave Nagel
Fujifilm says it's bringing its FinePix 30i to the North American market in April. The camera is a consumer-oriented, wallet-sized model that also incorporates MP3 playback. It can record digital audio and AVI video and also functions as a videoconferencing camera. For still photos, it supports resolutions up to 2 megapixels.

The FinePix 30i is a point and shoot model that offers a number of automated features, as well as 30-second voice annotation for each picture. With the camera's 16 MB SmartMedia card, users can store 20 minutes of MP3s, expandable to 160 minutes with a 128 B card. For recording AVI video, it supports 320 x 240 at 10 frames per second.

OOther features include:

  • ISO sensitivity of 100.
  • 64 Zones TTL Metering.
  • Auto white balance.
  • Shutter speeds of 1/2 second to 1/1,000 second.
  • f4.8/f11 aperture.
  • 2.5x digital zoom.

The camera comes with a remote control, two rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, charger, 16 MB SmartMedia card, shoulder strap, USB cable and headphones with remote control.
