Final Draft 6 ReleasedLatest release of screenplay software Carbonized for OS X
New in version 6.0 is a formatting assistant, which checks a script for inconsistencies and other common formatting errors, such as missing dialog, extra spaces, blank elements, consecutive dialog from a single character, etc. The new "Ask the Expert" feature provides tips on character, plot and structure. The feature is interactive, with answers supplied by Syd Field, a screenwriting teacher and host of Syd Field's Screenwriting Workshop.
Version 6.0 also includes dozens of templates from popular television programs and the ability to save in PDF format (as well as all other formats supported by previous versions of Final Draft).
Version 6.0 requires a Power Mac running Mac OS 8.6 or newer (including OS X) or a Pentium running Windows 98 through XP. It sells for $249. Upgrades for registered users run $69.
