Film Roman Wraps Spots for Burger King and C.C. Lemon

Film Roman Inc. today announced completion of Simpsons spots for Burger King and C.C. Lemon, a Suntory product.

The Burger King spot, directed by Jim Reardon, began airing Oct. 1 (and leads up to Halloween) in major markets across the United States. Produced by Film Roman and Film Roman Digital, the spot features Bart, Lisa and Millhouse in Halloween costumes enjoying their new Burger King Black Cherry slushies, while Homer, desperate for a "black tongue," tries to steal one away from them. Film Roman worked with Campbell Mithun, Fox Licensing & Merchandising and Gracie Films in bringing The Simpsons commercials to their studio.

The spot for C.C. Lemon is part of an ongoing campaign with Hakuhodo Advertising in Tokyo, the eighth largest ad agency in the world. Film Roman has already produced six animated Suntory commercials featuring The Simpsons characters. The spots are produced in Japanese and recorded in Tokyo, where post-production is completed. Carlton Batten directed this spot, which began airing in August and features The Simpsons characters at a baseball game.

Film Roman has been producing commercials for the past 10 years and has recently expanded the division to fully utilize the studio's vast pool of award-winning talent. A 17-time Emmy winner, the company is aggressively developing new programming for all media.

Heading up the division is Film Roman's vice president and executive producer, Kathee Schneider, who serves as a creative force on all major advertising campaigns, special projects and music video production. She works closely with Emmy-winning producer/director Eric Radomski, who heads up Film Roman's animation development division.

Film Roman's Commercial Division has worked with, among others, The Richards Group, Young & Rubicam, Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson and 20th Century Fox. They currently wrapped on an animated PSA for Partnership for a Drug-Free America targeting 6-8 year old kids. The company also maintains its Web presence, LEVEL13.NET, as an area to develop new properties for its commercial and television business.
