Film Gimp Updated to 0.15

New version gets bug fixes, additional pressure support By Dave Nagel
Film Gimp has been updated yet again, the second time in the last week. Film Gimp is a 16-bit image editor with features for managing frames for work on files used in motion pictures. The new version primarily addresses bugs found in the previous release, but it also adds a few features. It's available now for any X11 system, including Apple's X11 public beta, which runs on top of Mac OS X.

The 0.15 update fixes problems that were causing some plugins not to appear, as well as a compiler error and a mouse event problem. Images are now clipped before converting floats to 16- or 8-bit integers. And pressure support was added to the Paintbrush tool.

Film Gimp is an open-source image editor available for free. Running the program on the Macintosh requires Apple's X11 public beta to be installed, as well as some other tools. Instructions for installation can be found on Creative Mac at For more information, visit
