Father of MojoWorld to Deliver Conference KeynoteGraphics, Game and Simulation Design Conference 2004 set for September 24 (September 10, 2004)
Dr. F. Kenton Musgrave, CEO of Pandromeda, Inc. and the world's leading expert on fractal terrains and planets, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Graphics, Game and Simulation Design Conference.
Washington State Community College is hosting their annual Graphics, Game & Simulation Design Conference on September 24, 2004. Attendees will have access to bleeding-edge information on computer graphics, hardware, web design, computer games, e-commerce and the internet from the leading industry experts.
Dr. Musgrave (known in the gaming and computer graphics world as Doc Mojo), invented the technology that many graphics programs utilize today and which is at the core of Pandromeda's flagship fractal 3D world generation product - MojoWorld Generator. Doc Mojo will deliver a presentation on the creation of realistic, virtual worlds for game and graphics developers and designers.
"Virtual world and MMORPG developers must escape from yesterday's one-vertex-at-a-time world creation paradigm to get the kind of huge, realistic, and dynamic worlds that will provide the amazing settings for the best games," said Doc Mojo.
Doc Mojo has been called "the first true fractal-based artist," and has been a key player in advancing the technology of making realistic synthetic landscapes both for academe and Hollywood, as in the Genesis Experiment in the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. In 1994 Doc Mojo and his colleagues wrote the book on the subject: Texturing and Modeling: A Procedural Approach.
Pandromeda, Inc., is the leader in the field of 3D natural scenery graphics and world generation technology.
