Fanzooloo Gives Fans The Insider Scoop(August 31, 2011)
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 31, 2011
Fanzooloo, a fan-based interactive website and mobile application geared toward sports fans nationwide, expands their offering to include Android mobile users. Launched in April for the iPhone, Fanzooloo focuses on everything that is not the actual game itself, and instead caters to the social aspect of the event food, drink, community, convenience and fun.
The idea grew out of a personal experience of a traveling fan. Not being a local, Fanzooloo CEO Kaylyn Thornal wanted to know where to inexpensively park, get a drink before the game, scalp a ticket, and what the local fans eat and drink inside the venue. Every sports venue brings something unique to its community. Every time Id go to a game, I found myself wanting the same insider, local information. We make it easy and provide all of that in the palm of your hand.
Fanzooloo gives app users a host of amenities: real-time pre and post game happy hours, fan recommended restaurants, economical parking, nearby gas station options and ATMs, team schedules and ticketing, concessions maps, unique stadium features, and best food and brews inside the venues. Users can also read, write and share fan experiences; find upcoming games and events; locate and book parking online and find fan recommended locations quickly and easily.
Fanzooloo is the only app of its kind and has the ability to revolutionize sports watching as we know it, says Kayce Brown, director of business development and marketing. We are excited to centralize the synergy between sports teams, stadiums, local businesses and the fans.
Fanzooloo launched with the Dallas Cowboys Stadium last year at the Super Bowl. It now includes all Major League Baseball parks, is expanding to include all NFL stadiums this fall and all NBA stadiums later this year. With the release of the Android App, Fanzooloo now offers a five-day weather forecast for each stadium and up-to-the-minute Facebook and Twitter feeds for every professional team.
Since their spring roll out, Fanzooloo has steadily built a following of fans that love to share their ideas and insights. In fact, Fanzooloo members, who know the best places to dine, park and party, are helping to grow the website, which has tallied monthly double-digit increases in unique visitors.
Fanzooloo also promotes daily Fan Finds spotlighting interesting trivia about a park a local broadcaster, a concession inside the park, or perhaps a local brewery. Come fall, Fanzooloo will kick off a weekly tailgating blog with celebrity chef Susan Feniger of Border Grill and STREET restaurants fame. Winner of the tailgating party challenge on a recent season of Top Chef Masters, Feniger will kick off the weekly Fanzooloo blog series throughout the NFL season.
While fans are the loudest voices on what, where and how to attend games, Fanzooloo does verify the facts and weighs the input of multiple opinions, so users can feel at ease about the suggestions they receive. Within Fanzooloo, members can also create pages that include their favorite teams by sport with shortcuts to team statistics, parking or local dining preferences and feedback for other users. Fanzooloo is updated daily so fan recommendations are regularly added.
Developed by KAT Applications & Technology, Fanzooloo is an all-inclusive and interactive fan-based sports tool to help fans get the most out of a trip to the game. Fanzooloo is available on the web and the following mobile devices: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android. Based in Los Angeles, the company has bloggers and contributors in Boston, Milwaukee, Chicago, Dallas, Miami and New York. Twitter and Facebook @Fanzooloo.
