CROSS RIVER, N.Y. (AP) ' Police say a family of four has been found dead in their suburban home north of New York City
State police Maj. Michael Kopy says it appears to be a murder-suicide.
The victims were identified as Amy and Sam Friedlander and their children, 8-year-old Gregory and 10-year-old Molly.
The bodies were discovered in their Cross River home Tuesday afternoon.
The Lewisboro school district says the children attended the elementary school.
The Journal News cites a May 2000 wedding announcement in The New York Times that described Amy Friedlander as a vice president for Chase Manhattan Bank. The notice said her husband was an associate counsel of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in Manhattan.
A neighbor tells WCBS-TV that the couple was getting a divorce.
