Family grieves after Brazilian boy's remains foundFamily: Discovery of Brazilian boy's body in Missouri River confirms fears over missing family
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) ' Family members of a Brazilian family that went missing nearly two years ago in Nebraska are now realizing their worst fears.
The body of the family's 7-year-old son, Christopher Szczepanik's (SUH'-pan-ihkz), was found last week on the bottom of the Missouri River. The family had disappeared in December 2009 from the school they were renovating into a church center in Omaha, Neb.
Three men were charged with murder in the family's deaths. The parents' bodies still haven't been recovered.
Investigators say the men worked for the Szczepaniks. The family was living in Omaha while the father worked renovating a school into a church family.
Christopher's brother, Darcy Klein, told The Associated Press on Wednesday from Brazil that the family hopes justice is done in the case.
