FOR-A to Show VPS-700 GINGA Digital Switcher at IBCFirst European demonstrations of new device for live production and editing (August 15, 2005)
?Ginga means ?galaxy in Japanese, and the VPS-700 represents a universe of options for users, including 2D DVE for every input, up to 16 SD inputs and outputs, six keyers, six chroma keys and six channels of 2D or 3D DVE.
The VPS-700 offers optional 2D DVE in every input, delivering up to 32 DVE channels and total flexibility for multi-source productions. It supports the 525/60 and 625/50 standard definition formats and is ideally suited for mobile production and in-studio broadcasting applications. It features eight standard inputs, each of which has a frame synchronizer and still store feature using the F/S freeze and eight standard outputs, which can be increased by increments of four to up to 16 primary inputs, 16 outputs and six key layers (four keyers and two DSK).
FOR-As HANABI HVS-3800HS SD/HD switchable, multi-bit-rate switcher will also be profiled at the show. The HVS-3800HS is a multi-bit-rate combination of FOR-As well-known HANABI HVS-3000S standard definition and HVS-3000H high definition 2 M/E switchers. The HVS-3800HS features the first polygon-based HD DVE available in the U.S. and supports all major standard and high definition formats, including 1080i, 24p, 23.98SF, and 720p, among others.
FOR-A will also show:
- HVS-Dual Link 1M/E digital video switcher, which allows 4:4:4 images from a Sony HDCAM SR or images scanned from film to be handled directly without conversion
- 1080i 60Hz to 1080i 50Hz frame rate converter
- 4-way SD multi-viewer
- 16-way SD/composite multi-viewer
