FOCUS Enhancements Introduces TView Micro Scan Converter

Portable Solution For Displaying Computer Video On Any Television (October 03, 2001)
FOCUS Enhancements, Inc. announced a new low-cost portable PC-to-TV video converter. The new TView Micro is powered from the USB or PS/2 port on any personal computer, and displays computer images up to XGA resolution clearly on any conventional NTSC or PAL television. The converter, slightly larger than a deck of playing cards, provides easily accessible buttons for adjusting image position, size, brightness and sharpness. No software is required to run the unit.

According to the company, the TView Micro is the lowest priced portable XGA PC-to-TV scan converter available.

"The TView Micro is simple to operate and its small size is ideal for both home use and for mobile professionals," said Jason Overhulse, Consumer Product Manager for FOCUS Enhancements. "The low price point makes it suitable for students and businesses needing to display games, software applications, or the Internet on a large TV or projector. "

The TView Micro provides a standard computer video input and one S-Video and one composite output. It supports computer resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels. The push button controls allow eight-step adjustments of each parameter. The industry leading FOCUS FS401 scan converter chip can be seen though the unit's transparent blue case. A PS-2/AT and USB power cable is included in addition to S-Video and composite video cables.

The TView Micro is available at a U.S. suggested retail price of $99.00 and is available now through FOCUS Enhancements worldwide distribution network.
