Extensis Releases Suitcase 10.1 for Mac OS XFont management works with Cocoa, Carbon and Classic apps
Extensis outlined the Mac OS X font management problem in a prepared statement: "In Mac OS X, there are four or more Fonts folders available to users, making font management more critical than ever before. With Suitcase 10.1, users can now view fonts in all Mac OS X font directories and activate or de-activate fonts in Cocoa, Carbon and Classic applications."
Version 10.1 also gains added functionality in Mac OS X. These enhancements include:
- Suitcase 10.1 now supports Windows fonts (Open Type and TrueType) for Mac OS X applications.
- Suitcase 10.1 shows users the fonts located in the various font directories.
- Updated MenuFonts for Mac OS 9 Environment, which allows users to customize the appearance of their applications' font menus.
The English version of Suitcase 10.1 is available now for download from the Extensis Web site. Suitcase 10.1 costs $99.95 for the full version; $49.95 for upgrades from previous versions; $59.95 for competitive upgrades; and $999.95 for the Suitcase Server, which also includes five free copies of Suitcase 10.1. French, German and Japanese language versions will be available in January 2002. For more information or to download the update, visit http://www.extensis.com.
