Evermore Software to Preview EIOffice at MacWorld 2006

To show beta version of Evermore Integrated Office (EIOffice) for Mac OS 10 Tiger (December 29, 2005)

China's leading developer of Office Software today announced that it is attending MacWorld 2006 -- where Evermore Software LLC will preview the beta version of Evermore Integrated Office (EIOffice) for Mac OS 10 Tiger.

Emerging from the labs after six years in development, EIOffice for Mac marks the first time that one suite of Office software runs under the Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.

"The First Real Office," EIOffice markedly boosts productivity for users who synchronize complex projects and desperately need true data integration. EIOffice also liberates enterprise, small business and other users from the Microsoft Office monoculture, making it ideal for users moving to alternate operating systems, or moving back and forth between open-source and proprietary operating systems.

Evermore's revolutionary approach to Office software integrates into one program, with one unified user interface, spreadsheet, word processor and business graphics functions that conventional Office suites force users to launch and run as separate applications. One standard user interface makes it easier for users to learn, remember and use the software. Instead of separate applications, one program consumes less computer resources. One file format makes it easier for user to organize, retrieve and manage all documents related to a single project. And EIOffice also includes an array of productivity tools for working with and migrating from worksheets, documents and presentations produced with open-source applications and conventional Office suites that monopolize the desktop.

"Evermore is committed to giving Apple users the same access to a feature rich, fully integrated, full-function Office suite that Windows and Linux users already enjoy," said Gus Tsao, chief executive officer of Evermore Software.

"The user interface and file formats of EIOffice are identical across all the operating systems. This makes it extremely easy for any user to move among different operating systems and PCs with different architectures," said Tsao.

Like the Windows and Linux versions of EIOffice first shown to US users in 2004, the beta version of EIOffice delivers to Mac users a level of integration delivered by no other Office suite -- including the patent-pending, one-of-a-kind "Paste Link" technologies pioneered by Evermore to make linking data from any Office application to another Office application as simple as cut and paste, without complex hyperlinking and embedding. For example, as a user changes quarterly financial results in a spreadsheet, the Paste Link command automatically applies that update to all other memos, reports, presentations, worksheets, text and graphics that are linked via the same source data.

Users of EIOffice may open, edit, save, import and export Microsoft Office xls, doc and ppt files, including graphics, slides, charts and tables; and publish PDF documents without installing Adobe Acrobat -- all in a desktop environment that is instantly familiar to any user of Microsoft Office, which eliminates extra costs and training.

Written in Java, EIOffice integrates a full-feature Java editing environment, with which users may create macros to automate repetitive functions, build business information systems, and extend the functionality of EIOffice to new applications, projects and tasks.

EIOffice also features, customizable menus, toolbars and quick keys that enable users to configure, reconfigure, rename and adapt menus, toolbars, functions and shortcuts for specific projects and business requirements.

A built in Science Editor supports chemistry, physics, biology, geography, flow charts and other functions, eliminating the need for expensive extension programs. Illustrate experiments and display complex math and science equations directly in the active text document, spreadsheet or presentation. EIOffice comes with a library of over 1000 math and science images.

Users may integrate multimedia into any binder, document, worksheet and presentation -- and share an active binder -- including all related spreadsheets, text documents and slides -- as one EIOffice binder or as separate Microsoft documents.

Evermore shows the beta version of EIOffice for Mac at MacWorld, booth 2711, January 9 to 13, 2006.

Evermore anticipates the next major release of its flagship product, EIOffice, in the second quarter of 2006, with versions for the Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems, and in an array of languages, including English, French, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese.

An annual license for EIOffice is priced in the U.S. at $99. The license includes one year of free upgrades and unlimited support. Corporate, educational, senior citizen, family and other licensing terms are also available. Evermore also offers special competitive conversion pricing terms.
