Eurologic and Intel to Develop Serial ATA-Based Storage Solutions(November 08, 2001)
Serial ATA is a high performance connectivity interface to connect disk drives within storage systems. Eurologic and Intel will integrate Intel's S-ATA I/O building block technologies, including I/O processors and S-ATA silicon, into Eurologic's cutting-edge storage systems technology.
Eurologic and Intel will demonstrate S-ATA technology at Fall COMDEX, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from November 12-16. For more information or to arrange to see the demonstration, contact Eurologic at 978-266-9224 or at email@example.com.
About Serial ATA
A high performance storage connectivity interface, Serial ATA will have initial transfer rates of up to 1.5Gb/sec with future plans to support a 6Gb/sec transfer rate. In addition, Serial ATA delivers a number of new features and improvements, including thinner and longer cabling, better cable connections, lower power requirements, and lower pin counts.
