Epson To Ship New PapersMatte papers enhanced for photography
The first two products (the roll and poster board) are designed for Epson's Archival Ink systems. Both offer a flat matte surface and are designed to provide a wide color gamut and a bright, white base for highlights. Epson says the paper also improves the lightfastness of Archival systems (up to 100 years under glass with Archival Inks, 10 years without).
The 100-foot rolls will be available in 24-inch, 36-inch and 44-inch widths. (Epson also offers the paper for its standard desktop printers in smaller sizes.) The Enhanced Matte Poster Board will be available in 24 inch x 30 inch and 30 inch x 40 inch sizes. It's 1.2 mm thick.
Epson has also introduced its new double-sided matte paper. It has the same coating as Epson's Matte Paper Heavyweight on both sides. It will be available in 47 pound stock.
The double-sided matte paper will be available in mid-November for $17.95 in packs of 20. The new matte roll paper will sell for $79 for the 24-inch paper; $119 for the 36-inch paper; and $149 for the 44-inch paper. The poster board will sell for $95 for 10 sheets in the 24 inch x 36 inch size and $95 for five sheets in the 30 inch x 40 inch size.
