Epson Ships $1,300 SVGA Projector

Epson today announced its new PowerLite 30c, a portable LCD projector. The new model, which sells for $1,299, weighs in at 6.4 pounds and offers SVGA resolution (800 x 600) and a 400:1 contrast ratio.

The new 30c projects 800 ANSI lumens of brightness and is compatible with RGB, composite, S-video and component video, according to Epson. It also includes a "cinema filter" that enhances movie images for home theater viewing.

The PowerLite 30c also offers 15-degree digital keystone correction, electronic zoom, multi-function remote control and onscreen help features. It also takes advantage of Epson's SizeWise resizing technology, which supports Mac and PC laptop resolutions up to 1,024 x 768. For more information, visit
