Epson Lowers Price on Stylus Photo 820

Six-color printer now $99 By Dave Nagel
Epson today announced a price reduction on its Stylus Photo 820 inkjet printer. The six-color model now runs $99. The 820 has also been redesigned with a new metallic case.

The Stylus Photo 820 is a six-color printer (CcMmYK) that also includes Epson's BorderFree printing, which, in certain situations, allows for the printing of full bleeds. It prints black text at up to 12 PPM and an 8" x 10" photo on photo paper at 1:42 per page.

The Stylus Photo 820 offers up to 2,880 x 720 DPI resolution and Epson's Advanced Micro Piezo inkjet technology. It uses 4 picoliter droplets designed for smooth gradations and "dotless" photo quality for prints. It also supports Print Image Matching technology for optimizing prints from digital cameras that support PIM.

Software includes ArcSoft PhotoImpression and Epson Software Film Factory. For more information, visit http//
