Epson Announces Home Theater Projector

PowerLite TW-100 supports 720p natively By Dave Nagel
At the InfoComm convention in Las Vegas, Epson today introduced its new TW-100 PowerLite projector. The new model is targeted specifically for home theater applications and supports 720p natively.

The TW-100 offers Epson's 3-LCD technology combined with additional video processing functions for a broad color palette and a 600:1 contrast ratio, according to Epson. The projector is HDTV-ready and supports 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i. The aspect ratio is also adjustable between 4:3 and 16:9.

The projector operates at 30 dB and has a fixed optical 10 degree projection angle and 30 degree digital keystone adjustment. It has a native resolution of 1,280 x 720 and a lamp life of 3,000 hours.
