Entertainment Technology Alliance Co-Locates Conference & Exhibits At C3 In New York City, June 27-29Bob Greene, Starz Entertainment Group Delivers Keynote on June 27th (March 16, 2006)
Entertainment Technology Alliance (ETA) today announced it will co- locate its 5th Annual Conference and Exhibition at C3 (www.c3expo.com (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=cjnbwtbab.0.8oygrsbab.bwwhwyn6.7381&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.c3expo.com)) June 27-29, 2006 in New York City at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. C3 Expo is a major market place for the buying and selling of information technology and ETA has expanded the focus to encompass a market for the buying and selling of entertainment technologies.
The opening ETA Keynote will be delivered on Tuesday, June 27th at 1:30 p.m. by Bob Greene, senior vice president of Advanced Services, Starz Entertainment Group. Greenes keynote ?The New Wave of Video-on-the-Go will give attendees an overview on the market opportunities and business challenges for the emerging downloadable video on the go market. He will cover business and distribution models, DRM and content ownership issues, and will provide a vision of what consumers can expect in the future.

Sponsors and exhibitors will be located in the ETA Pavilion on the C3 exhibit floor and the ETA Theatre will host conference sessions and case studies. This years conference topics include: digital asset management, mobile entertainment, gaming, rights management systems, IPTV, and digital home entertainment. "This is an exciting year for C3Expo and ETA, and the technologies we are covering this year are growing at an explosive rate" said Todd Brockman, Chairman of ETA.
Several case studies will take place during the conference including Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) digital asset management (DAM) solution. Donald Wong, vice president and Ben Masek, executive director for SPEs Digital Media Initiatives will discuss how a new web-based system has saved hundreds of thousands of dollars for a single syndicated show. Together they will show how DAM software helped SPE fully utilize, re-purpose, and even monetize their high-value digital assets to create business agility, and a high return on investment.
