Emagic Updates Logic PlatinumVersion 6.1 adds TDM support
Version 6.1 brings TDM support to Logic Platinum, allowing for the use of Digidesign TDM systems with Logic under Mac OS X. According to Emagic, it also brings the "full functionality" of the company's optional ESB TDM and PTHD extensions to Mac OS X. This allows TDM system users access to Emagic's ES1, ES2, EVOC20, EVP88, EVD6, EVB3 and EXS24 software instruments. Other improvements include:
- Import support for Akai S1000/3000 samples for the EXS24 mk II under Mac OS X;
- Improved MIDI I/O handling;
- Device name support for Apple's Audio MIDI Setup;
- Improved multi-monitor support;
- Enhancements to the Logic Setup Assistant.
The Logic Platinum 6.1 updater is available as a free download for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X for users of Logic Platinum 6. For Logic Platinum 5 users, the updater also provides a 28-day trial period of version 6.1. For more information, visit http://www.emagic.de.
