Emagic Releases Audiowerk Driver for Mac OS X

Update adds support for Mac OS X 10.2 By Dave Nagel
Emagic has released an updated driver for Audiowerk 8 and Audiowerk 2, two of the company's PCI-based audio recording cards. The new version adds support for Mac OS X 10.2 and is available now as a free download from Emagic's site.

According to EMagic, the new Core Audio driver for Mac OS X allows Audiowerk 8 and Audiowerk 2 (revision V2 or higher) to operate at a minimum latency of 1.5 milliseconds. The new driver does not yet support daisychaining Audiowerk cards, and it does not support cards that use the V1 chip. (The identification of the version can be found on the largest chip on the card, the last two digits of the last line denoting the revision number.)

The new Audiowerk driver is available now from Emagic's Web site. For more information, visit
